Dear Fellow AZ AADE members
It is with great urgency that I am reaching out to you concerning the new Healthcare Reform bill. This bill could impact many of our patient, so it is very important that our two senators hear from Diabetes Educators in our state. This new healthcare package could cause discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions, could potentially cut off coverage for those under 26 under their parents insurance as well as limit preventative care which we know our patients desperately need in order to manage their diabetes effectively. You all should have received a letter last week by our National AADE advocacy director to submit a letter to our 2 senators to vote on a bill that will build on healthcare access gains, ensure affordability and provide essential health benefits we know people with diabetes need. I urge you this week to submit this letter if you have not already done so it will take less than 5 minutes to do.
