Whew! I am just getting back to normal / catching up after AADE2018 Passion into Action. If you have ever been to a national meeting before you understand how busy they can be with the numerous opportunities available throughout the entire conference (whether CE, social functions, or exploring the local area). There was no shortage of great CE at AADE2018 – from topics on population health, models of care, clinical therapeutics, prevention, and technology, to name a few. For me the technology learning was great! It is hard to keep up with everything new coming out (it seems like sometimes on a weekly basis), but the meeting provides a good way to catch up. Talking about technology, have you utilized DANA yet? DANA (Diabetes Advanced Network Access) is the smartest online destination for all-things-diabetes technology. DANA was definitely on display at the meeting and there was plenty of opportunity to utilize it and learn how to incorporate it into practice. If you have not done so yet, I encourage you to try it out, it one of our many member benefits.
It was also great to see a couple of AZ AADE members able to make it out to Maryland for the meeting. Next year the meeting will be closer (Houston, TX) so hopefully we can gather a larger group to make the trip!
