Last month AB 848, was referred to the Assembly Appropriations Suspense File and it needs to be voted off suspension by May 17th. At this time, we need to reach out to our members of the Appropriations Committee and let them know how important this legislation is for people with diabetes on Medi-Cal to manage their fluctuations in blood glucose levels. Special Emphasis should be placed on reaching out to Appropriations Committee Chair Lorena Gonzalez, (D80) San Diego. Those of you who live in her district please consider visiting her office, posting on social media, emailing or calling her district office to voice how important it is that Governor Newsom signs AB 848 legislation into law later this year.
