Participants will feel empowered to discuss screening recommendations with patients and family members and will know where to refer patients for screening.
DCESs play a key role in informing all individuals about available screening programs for early detection of Type 1 Diabetes including those who may not typically be included in research opportunities. This activity will address opportunities for obtaining antibody screening for all patients, including those without insurance or whose insurance may not be willing to cover the cost of screening.
