Dr. Doane is a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist. Currently working at Wiggins Family Medical Center and Pharmacy, Southwire. Dr. Doane earned her doctoral degree in pharmacy from MCPHS University, Worcester, MA and her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico. She is licensed as a registered pharmacist, registered dietitian and credentialed as a Certified Immunizer, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) and Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine (DipACLM).
Her clinical background includes working with patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes (including insulin pump), asthma, dyslipidemia, hypertension and others. She has experience in CDTM agreement and prescribing capabilities. She is Bilingual and Bi-cultural (English/Spanish), originally from Puerto Rico. Dr. Doane is an active member of various local and national pharmacy and diabetes organizations. Her career goal is to continue serving her community and provide evidence-based, patient-centered and affordable pharmacotherapy.
