Educating, Empowering and Engaging Persons with Diabetes in a Changing World

“Educating, Empowering and Engaging Persons with Diabetes in a Changing World” is a virtual program designed to improve diabetes educators’ skills in responding to the rapidly changing world of diabetes care around us.   

Topics offered in this educational session will ensure diabetes care providers will stay current.  Sessions include a variety of information that will guide educators to provide effective care, communication, and empowerment to all persons living with diabetes.

Target Audience:

This continuing education activity should be of substantial interest to nurses, pharmacists, dietitians / dietitian nutritionists who care for people at risk for and affected by diabetes.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Participants will be able to interpret the data from CGMs and be able to educate patients on the use of their data to improve time in range.
  2. Learners will know the requirements for using telehealth with patients for reimbursement.
