I am an inpatient diabetes educator in Western Georgia, my primary responsibility is to provide specialized education, support, and advocacy for hospitalized patients diagnosed with diabetes. My role is integral to improving clinical outcomes, enhancing patient self-management skills, and ensuring safe transitions of care, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the unhoused and uninsured.
I also have experience with supporting clinical staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice. I am skilled in analyzing clinical trends, facilitating education to improve patient outcomes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address practice gaps.
