Have you heard the news? Diabetes Training Camp is coming back!

We are coming back and we’re better than ever.

Over the past two years it has been clear that our alumni are a tremendous community of people committed to contributing to the uniquely special DTC experience for yourselves, and many others with diabetes.

So, we are very excited to announce to our alumni that our next camp is this summer, June 11 – 16 at Franklin & Marshall College in picturesque Lancaster, PA.

During our hiatus we drilled into past camper feedback as well as our early experiences to ensure that we continue to deliver against our mission of diabetes and wellness education while offering a magical experience grounded in personal relationships. Every one of our alumni’s participation in DTC at some point over the past six years has been vital in the positive evolution of camp.  Thank you so much for your messages of support and encouragement to continue the DTC vision.

Now, in anticipation of our next camp, we would like your help.  Please consider your potential to help generate excitement, to help make camp a success, and to help share the camp experience with others for years to come. There are many ways to get involved with camp, without overextending your time, energy or pocketbook.  Please consider participating in one or more of the following ways:

COME BACK TO CAMP!  We would welcome the privilege of having you return, and certainly would love to see you back at camp.  Join us June 11-16, 2012 at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.  Go to www.diabetestrainingcamp.com to register. Registration opens March 1st.

BE SOCIAL.  Like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/diabetestrainingcamp) or follow us on Twitter (www.twitter.com/dtcamp) or do both!

BUILD THE COMMUNITY.  Identify five people in your circle that would benefit from camp and send them to the website and Facebook.  Post flyers on your local community boards (health clubs, pharmacies, Starbucks, Whole Foods…) and help spread the word.

MAKE THE CALL.  Contact your local JDRF chapter, support groups, and diabetes team- physicians, educators, dietitians and the rest of your support team.

DONATE.  Donations will help keep costs down, meaning lower registration fees for camps.

SPONSOR OR ADVERTISE.  Do you own your own business?  Support camp by sponsoring a camp event or placing an ad on the website or Facebook.  Your generous support will be showcased on the web, on our Facebook community members and campers.

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE.  We are looking to hear about how camp changed your life.  If you like to write or are passionate about how DTC can impact others, send us your story in 250 words or less.

We can’t do it without you.  Do what works best for you, but please, DO!   Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
We hope to see you at camp!
