Hello!! I am the May Blogger!! I'm JoAnn Manty, your Financial Leader in Michigan (in other words, treasurer). I would like to share some information about the process to submit expenses or receive your awarded scholarship funds. You will need to have receipts to submit along with the Michigan Request for Payment (RFP) form. I can email the RFP form to you upon your request. If you could scan in your receipts and send both the scanned receipts and RFP to my email address: weskee87@hotmail.com (preferred method). Or you could copy your receipts on a plain piece of paper and fax with the RFP to (906) 225-7696, or snail mail the two pieces of information to me at: 7255 County Road PI, Ishpeming, MI 49849 (slowest way!!, but it works!). Once I get these documents, I will submit to AADE for payment to YOU. Payment from AADE to you takes 1-2 weeks. When planning a conference, it will be necessary to get a line of credit (form from hotel) for conference expenses. That form is filled out by the group/person who is arranging the hotel/conference accommodations. The filled out form is sent to AADE after completion. At the conclusion of the conference, I will need to get an expense report (so I know what is going on) and AADE will pay the hotel. An RFP and W-9 will need to be filled out for any payment for speaker honoria (and that is submitted for me) . Registration for conference participants and vendors is being handled online and all payments go to AADE. That has been working well.
