While it has been quite some time that a blog has been published, however, that does not mean that there has not been tireless work behind the scenes on behalf of the Coordinating Body. In 2018 you can expect more frequent posts about a variety of topics. What would be prudent to cover first is a quick review of terms that are used a lot in emails and on message boards.
CB - Coordinating Body
The Coordinating Body is a group of educators who all volunteer their time in their respective elected positions. They plan the fall conference each year, as well as collaborate with the LNG leaders on LNG meetings!
LNG - Local Networking Group
Local Networking Groups allow educators the opportunity to email back and forth, but also and ideally meet and network outside of email. This can be for dinners, or even coffee!
You can manage your subscriptions by logging into myaadenetwork.org then click on "my options" and "my subscriptions" this is where you can manage which LNGs you would like to join, as well as how you would like to receive communication from the LNGs.
COIs-Communities of Interest
Communities of interest allow discussion around a topic of interest, however they also are more structured in that they facilitate the development and collaboration. COIs are either Q & A COIs or Resource COIs
Practice Area Discussion Groups
Potential COIs start as Discussion Groups, this is a medium where educators can discussion areas and topics of interest with one another.
