As MODE (Michigan Organization of Diabetes Educators) makes the transition to the My AADE Network, MODE will continue to be structured as it has always been but with slightly different terminology. One of the changes members will notice is the use of the term Local Networking Group or LNG. MODE as an organization is considered the AADE Coordinating Body (CB) for the state and our regions which have always gone by numbers now have LNG names. This structure, with a CB for each state and LNGs within the state, is being utilized by all AADE member organizations and provides continuity within AADE.
Below is a list of Michigan's LNG names. You can also view a map with the new names, contact person for each LNG and see which counties are included in each LNG by visiting the MODE website http://modeonline.org/pdfs/Map%20with%20region%20reps2pg.pdf or by looking on our state page under the "Download Resources" page.
Once Michigan's LNGs are listed on the My AADE Network (the names were just submitted) please be sure to add your LNG (or any other LNG you are connected to through work or residence) to your profile/group information. By adding the LNG to your profile/group info, you will be able to communicate with other members in that same LNG.
The MODE board strongly encourages all of you to spend some time on our state page so you become familiar with all the communication opportunities the My AADE Network offers AADE members. If you find you are having a difficult time navigating through our state page (or the rest of the My AADE Network), please either email me or click on the help button located next to your name at the top of the page.
It may take us all a while to become comfortable using our state page but it does offer many helpful tools.
