As we settle into the routine of a new year, it's time to review whether or not you are missing out on news & invitations going out to Missouri Educators. You may be surprised about what you have been missing!
A Missouri Member recently requested help: "Need assistance with Abbott Meters/Rep info". If you didn't get this notice, then you are not subscribed to the "State Discussions link". Want to share any news anywhere in the State, even if there isn't an LNG in your locale? You can use the State Discussions Group!
Did you know that the St Louis LNG is hosting a general Membership meeting: "Exploring various roles of diabetes Educators”, on Jan 22nd? Did you get the dinner program invitation from AstraZeneca: "Providing Individualized Treatment Options for Adults With Type 2 Diabetes. Additionally, a new interactive patient education and support program will be presented."? If you didn't get those notices, then you are not subscribed to the St Louis LNG Discussions Group.
Interested in a new job? Did you get this notice: "Seeking tech-savvy CDEs nationwide interested in working from home 15-20 hours per week, have evening/weekend availability". If you didn't get this notice, then you are not subscribed to the Central Missouri LNG Discussions Group.
Want to share news going on in the Kansas City area? You can post via the Kansas City LNG Discussions Group.
You are getting this announcement as a State Member; all State Members will get this notice. An announcement is not the same as a discussion. However, because some people are annoyed about too many emails via their inbox, the AADE wants its Members to voluntarily subscribe to individual LNG & State discussions. Subscribing means "virtually joining" a designated, desired group. Your national Membership dues allows subscribing to any State or LNG disussion group in the Country, as well as subscribing to any COI--Communities of Interest!
From the Missouri Home page, to subscribe to the Missouri State discussions, go to the gray colored box, on the right side of the page: "Get Connected across the State" -- click on the "Participate in Statewide Discussions" link. To subscribe to LNG Discussions, scroll down under the "Get Connected Close to Home" section --- click on subscribe tab adjacent to any/all LNG listings. You can manage/edit the frequency of email/notices delivery options. For example, I personally, "batch" my emails from the COIs to come once daily, instead of with each posting; but for all 3LNGs, I choose to receive immediately, as each are posted/issued. If you need assistance, feel free to contact me: Nancy Trebilcock, BSN, RN, CDE; nancytcde@hotmail.com; subject line: subscribing info, or call me at 314-303-2328 while you have the sites open & we can talk through it!
So lets all get on board the information "train" to assure that nothing else gets missed!
