New Practice Resource--AADE CaseShare

By Nancy Trebilcock posted 08-30-2018 14:23

"AADE has launched AADE CaseShare, a Members-only repository of case studies. The cases were written by multidisciplinary teams of diabetes Educators, and cover a variety of DSMES-related topics. 50 AADE Members voluntarily worked together on teams to develop the initial set of cases. The goal of CaseShare is to provide an additional practice resource to members of knowledge-based diabetes management.  Knowledge-based diabetes management includes clinical guidelines, best practices, and technical skills, and is acquired through on-going education and training. The strategies and nuances for individualizing education helps to provide the best care for people with diabetes.

Designed as a virtual consultation resource, AADE members can review the index of cases to find potential solutions to your own challenging cases. CaseShare will expand with future cases contributed by AADE’s Communities of Interest (COI), Practice Area Discussion Groups, Coordinating Bodies (CB), and Local Network Groups (LNG), as well as other contributors. Do you have a case that you would like to share with your AADE colleagues?  Please review the criteria for submitting your case for consideration, via www.diabeteseducator.org/practice/aade-caseshare".
