March is Diabetes Awareness Month

By Nancy Trebilcock posted 03-25-2015 20:41

The American Diabetes Association has designated  March as "Diabetes Awareness Month", and March 24th as "Diabetes Alert Day". These promotions are to encourage continued screening of & outreach to people at risk for diabetes. To assist you with providing education resources, AADE has issued several reference materials, including Tips Sheets, Teaching Guides, Position Statements, in the first quarter of 2015. As each has been issued, I have posted them to the "Download Resources" section of the Missouri AADE home page--grey colored box on the right hand side of the page. The more recent topics are: Sexual Health Tip Sheet; Vision aid for glucose meter; Diabetes Care 2015 Slideset; ADA 2015 Position Statent: Management of Hyperglycemia in Type 2 Diabetes, 2015-- a Patient-Centered Approach (Update to a previously issued Position Statement); ADA Standards of Care 2015; Hypoglycemia Tip Sheet.

If there are resources you often use & wish to share, please let me know: Nancy Trebilcock, BSN, RN, CDE; nancytcde@hotmail.com; subject line: State files.

The CB Leadership Team appreciates your passion, professionalism, the work you do for people with diabetes,  and your support of the Missouri AADE!

Files

What a great idea to also save these to your file library besides where they live on the main page!
