MISSOURI COORDINATING BODY (CB) ACCOMPLISHMENTS for 2015
Let’s take a look at the CB’s accomplishments and programs held in 2015 for our AADE/Missouri members:
April:
Your CB Leadership Team was on the road again t0 Joplin, MO to provide a networking and
CE program for our members in the Southwest corner of our state. Kristen Fenimore, RN, CDE was our host at the newly opened Mercy Physician Office Building.
May:
MO CB sponsored an AADE webinar "Update on Diabetes Medications, 2015 ". Liz Whelan, MSN, RN, BA, CDE, volunteered to host the webinar at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO.
June:
Leisa Blanchard, APRN, FNP-C, CDE, our CB Advocacy Chair, traveled to Washington, DC and served as Missouri’s representative at AADE’s Capital Hill Advocacy Visit event.
August:
Missouri CB receives “My AADE Network Coordinating Body Achievement Award” in New Orleans. Mary Lawrence, MSN, RN, CDE, CB Chair, accepted the award at the General Session on, August 8th, at the national AADE Education Meeting. Your CB Leadership Team hosted a very successful table display at the CB and COI Networking Event. We were delighted to meet not only Missouri Members, but Members from around the country, almost 100 in all. We showcased the State Insect, the Honeybee, with a gift bag of Burt’s Bees Balm & a Bit-o-Honey treat! During that 4 day event, the CB also hosted a hospitality room , for Missouri Members, with refreshments and attendance prizes. Thank you to Diane Rowe, MSN, RN, FNPC, (Pineville), for serving on the CB Board on an interim basis, this summer.
Missouri CB offered an AADE webinar in St. Louis "Latest Developments in Insulin Therapy” at Mercy Hospital-St. Louis; coordinated by Mary Lawrence, MSN,RN, CDE.

The Missouri CB earned the My AADE Network’s Quarterly Incentives Award for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd quarters of 2015. Save-the-date for Friday, October 14th. The Missouri CB is presenting a Professional Education Program, at St. Luke's Hospital: 232 South Woods Mill Road; Chesterfield, MO 63017; (did we mention the new St Louis IKEA!); Program details will be posted as they are finalized.
