Lillie Larsen, MS, RD LD CDE and Maria Ylagan MEd, RN RD LD CDE, St. Louis, presented a concurrent session program: "Disparities in Diabetes Self-Management: Tips to Address the Challenge of Low Health Literacy". It was very well received; great job, Ladies!
Pictures of some of the St. Louis & Kansas City presenters/attendees are posted on the My State (Missouri) Network page; click on Media Center tab, AADE11 folder. My sincere apologies to Mary Thompson & other Missouri members present at the poster sessions reception that didn’t get their pictures taken; as usually happens at inopportune times, my camera battery died that evening!
Also, while you’re in the My State Network site, be sure to check the calendar for the many scheduled events; many program invitations have been received. Click on the “view full calendar” icon.
While you’re at the AADE home page, check the new AADE Diabetes Resource Connection. Through this online portal, AADE members have access to over 10,000 patient education materials, product coupons, samples and vouchers, product information and a variety of patient assistance programs for each product.
Thanks for all you do to assist people with diabetes!
