On March 7th, Candace Williams and I represented the Missouri Coordinating Body for our State American Association of Diabetes Educator Group at the Missouri Diabetes Shared Learning Network Meeting. This Diabetes Stakeholder Meeting, which is held twice yearly in Jefferson City, featured many interesting participants all with the common interest of improved Diabetes Care in our State. Attendees included representatives from the following organizations: The Missouri Diabetes Foundation, a UMKC Endocrinologist, the Missouri Primary Care Association, the YMCA, University of Missouri Health Policy experts, Missouri Telehealth Network, Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, Community Health Needs Partnerships Network, SSM Health Care, Missouri Hospital Association, St. Louis Regional Diabetes Planning Group, Essa Health, the Mississippi County Health Department, and the University of Missouri Kansas City Community Health Research Group. Because the meeting was rich with information about which I think many of you might enjoy reading, I will soon follow up this post with some of my notes from this learning experience. Happy Easter !!
