New Resources from AADE for Educators

New resources are available free for you to download to help both patients and prescribers deal with diabetes challenges.

For people with diabetes, AADE has a new tip sheet called Healthy for the Holidays that can help them deal with the abundance of food and to-dos, as well as the lack of time for being active.

For prescribers, Successful Diabetes Management Should Address Cultural Differences offers five tips for doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants working with diabetes to consider as they make recommendations for diabetes self-care.

AADE hopes you will use these materials with your patients, referral network and local healthcare facility to raise awareness of the importance of diabetes educators. These materials are part of AADE’s national professional and public awareness campaign.

To access the new Tips Sheets, go to the Missouri/AADE home page; in the gray colored box, on the right side, click on the download resources link to find a variety of files. Have you used any of the AADE Tips Sheets in your practice? If so, were they helpful? Share your experiences via the State Network Discussions link (also located in the gray box on the Missouri home page).

Nancy,

Thanks for posting and including the links. I find these resources very helpful especially the holiday handouts at this time of the year.
