The Montana Diabetes Educators held their annual meeting this year on Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Kalispell, Montana. We had great attendance with health care professionals coming from all over the state. We learned from experts in the diabetes field including Virginia Valentine, APRN-CNS, BC-ADM, CDE, FAADE who updated us on diabetes medications and obesity management. Susan Weiner, MS, RDN, CDE, CDN – AADE 2015 Diabetes Educator of the Year shared how to keep organized when you have diabetes. Dr. Pam Roberts discussed the benefits of heath coaching and taught us how to Nordic walk.
Congratulations to Janie Fitch Danielson who was recognized as the 2015 Montana Diabetes Educator of the Year.
