Some pretty eye-opening research coming out of Rutgers University et. al. regarding metformin and exercise. No matter the intensity of exercise you're doing, metformin seems to block the benefits people with diabetes should get from exercise. I look forward to more coming out about this. That is the conclusion of a Rutgers-led study in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism , which found that metformin blunts critical improvements in blood vessel function, fitness and blood sugar control that normally come from working out. |
