Students with Diabetes is an organization for young adults age 18-30 with Type 1 Diabetes. The Executive Director is Nicole Johnson, former Miss America.The purpose of this group is to enable the young adults to build connections with others in their age group who have type 1 diabetes.
Here are some current noteworthy information that you can share with any of your patients who could benefit from this group:
The new Summer Internship Program places 15 Students With Diabetes members as interns with leading diabetes companies and organizations. They will be learning about how to take their diabetes experience and combine that with their own talents to make a difference in the diabetes industry.”
The 2013 Students With Diabetes National Conference will be held May 31 to June 2 in Tampa Florida. Cost is $85
