Gut Microbiota and Diabetes

Activity Description: This one-hour in-person activity and WebEx will explore the unique effects of gut microbiota on chronic conditions including prevention and management of diabetes. Stacy Eilers, RDN, LDN, CDE will guide the learner through the mechanisms of benefits of a healthy gut and how to counsel our patients on altering their gut microbiota through diet and future treatments.

Recognize at least 2 future treatments to manipulate the gut microbiota

CE Language: 1.0 CEU for nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, CDEs
Target Audience: Nurses, Dietitians, Pharmacists and CDEs who work or hope to work in the diabetes field
Requirements for Successful Completion: For successful completion, participants are required to attend the full 1 hour activity and complete and submit the program evaluation.
Activity Type: This educational program is a knowledge-based activity.
