This month's Chair Corner was actually written and updated (because I was slow getting it out) by our Education Lead on the NC CB, Sandra Midyette from Lenoir Memorial Hospital's Oupatient Diabetes Program in Kinston, NC. I would have included her picture, but her hospital's email system doesn't like me. :)
I hope you all enjoy learning about some up coming educational opportunities and will be able to join your fellow educators. Some our fast approaching, but if they are sponsored in part by our LNGs, you can be sure to find more information in the discussion sections for that LNG or on the calendar.
We know it can be tough to find continuing education close to home, especially with organizational budget cuts. We are hoping that this helps take the strain out of some looking. Keep checking back to our calendar for more opportunities in the future.
Stay healthy and keep learning!

Hello North Carolina Educators!
My name is Sandra and I am the Education Lead for the NC Coordinating Body of AADE. I live in the eastern part of the state and am part of the Coastal Carolina Association of Diabetes Educators.
There are many educational activities in North Carolina. My hope is this communication will help spread the news of upcoming events. This is in no way a comprehensive list, but some that have come to my attention. Some are AADE sponsored, others by local AHEC groups. Please share if you have an upcoming event in your area.
Wow! I’m just going to jump straight in with this one!
