Happy April everyone!
Can you believe how quickly this year is flying by? I sure can't! For me one of the highlights of 2016 so far has been the kickoff of the WNCADE LNG. A group of educators from the western region met in March to discuss the revitalization of the networking group. Each educator brought a great energy and passion for the field of diabetes education and the desire to work together across our region. The synergy of this group has already propelled the western region into great things. Our group plans to meet monthly, highlighting a different educator each meeting. Our hope is to better learn what others in our region are doing. Other hot topics that were discussed at our kickoff included providing CE opportunities regionally, to support our clients collectively and to network with each other often. Our first big initiative is the WCU Diabetes Education Summit that will be this July! Our meeting wasn't all business though! Our group had a wonderful enjoying great food & drink and unwinding from our busy days. We plan to meet again in early May. WNCADE LNG is successfully in operation!
