NC CB is searching for a Disaster Preparedness Lead. See below for the role description:
• Serves as, the “go to” person for the state to transfer information from Diabetes
Disaster Response Coalition to CB and LNG leaders.
• Helps to coordinate dissemination of diabetes information, resources, education, and
supplies during state declared emergencies and disasters.
• Serves to create awareness for the seriousness of diabetes care before, during and
after disasters.
• Serves to provide or facilitate education for diabetes care and education specialists
about the seriousness of diabetes care before, during and after disasters.
• Posts pertinent diabetes and disaster items to calendar
• Serve as contact for LNGs to assist in developing their diabetes and disaster processes
and resources.
• Coordinate communication for state-wide diabetes and disaster events
