Program Description:
This program will provide members with a description of the new AADE DANA website. DANA is a resource to enable professionals working in partnership with persons with diabetes to have access to best in class information about diabetes technology. The goal is to empower audience members to incorporate collaborative decision making in the care and management of people with diabetes, leading to positive health outcomes.
Learning Outcomes:
· Learners will have a better understanding of DANA and its functionality.
· Learners will be able to utilize and leverage DANA as a resource to better support diabetes education and self-management for those living with diabetes.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this activity, the participant will be able to:
· Describe the components included in AADE’s DANA Technology Institute.
· · Summarize the functionality of the App Review in DANA
· Determine how to navigate the DANA website to find specific information.
Discuss the framework for PROJECT VISION
Target Audience:
This is a practice-based activity designed for individuals active in diabetes education, including, RNs, RDNs, Pharmacists, and other health care providers interested in staying informed on current practices of care for patients with diabetes and other related conditions.
