2011 Oregon Diabetes Educators Diabetes Educator of the Year Award

Her colleagues also say that when she speaks, people listen and they cannot imagine their department or professional community of diabetes educators without her.

- Certified Insulin Pump and Continuous Glucose Monitor Educator
- Inpatient Nursing/Pharmacist liaison for diabetes education at her organization
- Committee participant on Glycemic Control, Medication Safety, FMEA Team, local ADA Walk
- Community Speaker and Facilitator of Insulin Support Group
- New hire/new grad instructor
- Co-coordinator of her organization’s annual diabetes education fair
- Trusted advisor to the medical community and considered to be very instrumental in helping her organization be named as one of Oregon’s top performers on the Surgical Care Improvement Project Measure (SCIP4) for glucose control in their post cardiac surgery patients
