2011 Oregon Diabetes Educators Distinguished Service Award
Terry Cornell, RN, CDE
This year’s distinguished service award recipient has been the guardian of our funds for the last three years. With her formal background in finance and accounting, she brought a whole new level of expertise to ODE in terms of financial management. She re-vamped our record keeping system (our auditor was very impressed), she consistently brought forth excellent financial advice and guidance, and kept us in synch with current tax laws which we all know isn’t easy these days.
Although very exciting, our recent transition to a new business model required extensive review of finances and presenting many years of record keeping to our AADE headquarters. She spent countless hours reviewing, recording, and packing our books and records and sending them to headquarters and we thank her.

It is with great pleasure that we present the ODE 2011 Distinguished Service Award to Terry Cornell!
