  • Assist Education Chair to plan and execute state-wide events. Examples of tasks: CE topic suggestions, speaker suggestion/selection, researching/contracting with venue(s), completing CE application materials, communicating with speaker(s), recruiting volunteers for day-of event needs like registration desk support.
  • Term: August 2022 - October 2023; prefer 1 year commitment. This role can be broken-up into approx 6-month increments, one term for each event (one fall 2022-spring 2023 and one spring 2023 - fall 2023).
  • Time Requirement: ~ 1-2 evenings or 2-5 hours per month (less during initial planning, up to 1-2 hours weekly during the 1-2 months immediately prior to an in-person event). This role can be broken-up between multiple volunteers by event or season.
  • Training: ADCES national has a recorded webinar training regarding CE planning; Oregon Chair or Co-Chair can offer 1:1 training/support as well
  • Resources provided/available: CE Event Checklist, Box.com document sharing/storage, ADCES Accreditation staff available via phone and email, ADCES Volunteer Resource Center, multiple current volunteers also have experience with CE planning for support or as needed consultation

  • Benefits may include: Discounts for CE programming (often complimentary registration for local/state events for which you are a planner); mileage for in-person meetings; networking with state/national colleagues and expert speakers; volunteer hours may count toward practice hours or CE depending on your licensure/accrediting body.
