As we close in on the first half of 2020, we do so with a new and uncertain healthcare landscape. Adjusting and learning about the "new normal" with respect to multiple healthcare industries can be challenging. To lessen this obstacle, many companies and healthcare systems are eager to help embrace the way care is delivered. For example, telemedicine and virtual sessions have become the standard of communicating health related information. With this comes challenges but also opportunity. Opportunity in the form of connecting more frequently with other ADCES members through virtual meetings. Virtual meetings do not require time to travel or reservations. Members can connect via online meeting platforms. While in-person meetings can have the attraction of a fun venue or mouthwatering entree, virtual meetings come their own jovial attributes. For example, members can lift each other’s spirits by choosing an array of virtual backgrounds from forest, Venice, or even the moon. Normally, these platforms cost minimal if group sizes are less then 10. If larger group numbers are required, reach out to company representatives or healthcare systems to utilize their platforms. Live meetings will eventually resume, in the meantime, pick a wacky virtual background and enjoy being commandeered from the comfort of your home.
