Julie Dorfman, MA, RD, LDN is presenting at the 1st Annual Pennsylvania State Diabetes Conference and has shared this brief insight into her presentation:

"'Do you have a female patient, family member or friend with Diabetes?  Has she ever experienced unexplained episodes of Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)?  Have you noticed that she often intentionally withholds her insulin to lose weight?  Are her hemoglobin A1c levels high?  Understanding Eating Disorders and how they effect the Diabetic patient is an important piece to treating these patients.  In this presentations you will learn more about the day in the life of a Dietitian working at The Renfrew Center, a facility specializing in treating women with Eating Disorders and more recently Diabetes".

Our pt population where I work, the majority have type 2 diabetes.  This will be new content for me, so am anxious to here your presentation.  Thank you!
