Hello Texas ADCES members!
As 2020 comes to a close, I wanted to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank you all for your dedication to the profession! It's been amazing watching this profession adjust to the changes 2020 has presented and overcome challenges to meet the diabetes care and education needs of our patients and their families. Even in 2020, we have been able to thrive and still remain a valuable part of the health care team, always putting our patients at the forefront of everything we do. We have quickly adapted to shift to a new virtual world, not without bumps along the road, but with the tenacity to keep going even when things seemed to be too much.
I have so much hope and excitement for the new year! I am confident that, we, across Texas, will continue to roll with the uncertainty all with the same mission in mind. I am so thankful for all of our Texas ADCES members and for all they do to serve persons with diabetes across the state. We as the Texas Coordinating Body leaders care for you, hear you, and are here to support you now and in the future.
While we are unable to offer an in-person state conference in 2021, I am excited to announce the launch of our Texas 2021 Diabetes Care Series. We will be offering FREE, quarterly, virtual, educational opportunities, with CEUs for members across the state. The topics selected for this 2021 Diabetes Care series will be based on feedback you, the Texas members, have provided. Stay tuned for more details about this exciting statewide educational opportunity to come in 2021!
If there is something that you are wanting to see from us, I urge you to please comment below. We read all your comments and suggestions, and take it back to our board meetings to best serve you and to help you be the best Diabetes and Care Education Specialist you can be.
With admiration,
