From Priscilla Carpenter, who has been tracking issues pertaining to Act 59: "Act 59 should not deprive Health Educators of Educational opportunities" as it is now doing.
Legislators in Franklin County, Lynn Dickinson and Brian Savage have introduced the House Bill #278 to amend Act 59.
In the meantime, AADE has forwarded the following statement to VTADE; "VT Health Care Professionals may attend pharmaceutical sponsored events at all AADE conferences "if" there is not a pharmaceutical product-marketing focus. So, if Act 59 remains, this would exclude us from such events as Corporate Symposiums or Product Theaters at the Annual AADE conference.
