The machines or you

As we advance in the ACO arena with its many stipulation. There has been so many changes impacting the care of our patients. Each person has a responsibilty to provide the best service each and every day.

Yesterday a staff nurse said "Electronics are great but what has happened to critical thinking skills".  Do you find this true in your environments? The machine manages you, not you managing the patient.

Do you know the individual? Do you do a behavioral screen? Are we the patient advocate?

At times emails are overwhelming and never ending. Vacations are our stress relievers and then we return to find our desks with stacks of new items to complete. What happened to picking up the phone to discuss an issue?
