What in the world is the Coordinating Body or a Local Networking Group?

Those are such great questions!  Let's break it down a bit:

AADE stands for American Association of Diabetes Educators.  Wow! All of America?! How does such a large, national organization help people all the way down in Georgia? Well, that's where the CB comes into play.

The CB stands for the Coordianting Body.  The CB is a state level arm of AADE that helps every state communicate, benefit, learn from and plan with AADE.  The CB is usually a small group of volunteers (Georgia currently has 4 CB Members) who work for about 2 years to improve things from state wide conferences to start up and continuations of LNGs.

LNG stands for Local Networking Group.  This is a community wide arm of AADE that helps smaller sections of each state to network with other local diabetes educators.  The LNG may have a number of meetings per year that generally include dinner and learning topics that help educators stay on the cutting edge of diabetes management!

Does this help it make more sense? See, the LNG needs the CB and the CB communicates with AADE. In return, AADE helps the CB and LNG work through barriers to education.  If you have any questions about these definitions, feel free to reach out to me!
