What You Need to Be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare-related discipline is required. Two (2) years of experience in educating patients, specifically about diabetes. Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Dietitian in the State of Maryland and Certification as a Diabetic Educator (CDE) at hire or within one year of service. Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required.
