Currently serve as the Disaster Preparedness & Response Lead and the Community Resources Lead with the Georgia CB Body.
After graduating from nursing school - at age 55 -provided DSMES at a safety net clinic in Metro ATL from 2009 to 2012.
Co-founded Diabetes Community Action Coalition with Fulton County Board of Health in 2011.
By nature, wear the hats of librarian and social justice advocate.
The purpose of my work is to reduce health disparities and to promote health equity by addressing access and functional needs of individuals, families, and communities.
Although I’ve retired from the workforce, I remain engaged in local, state, national, and international matters related to diabetes prevention and management.
