Hi! I first joined the world of diabetes at age 5 when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. My dad, two brothers, and I all have type 1 diabetes. Growing up with that many type 1s under one roof... it was like I had my own diabetes support group!
I quickly realized I wanted to help others in their diabetes journey too. I became an RN, BSN, CDCES as quickly as school would allow and have worked in diabetes ever since. I have experience with many roles in diabetes such as diabetes educator (both inpatient and outpatient), clinical account manager at Dexcom, diabetes sales representative at a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company, public speaker, and diabetes technology specialist.
