Currently serve as the Disaster Preparednesss Lead with the Georgia CB Body.
After graduating from nursing school in 2009, I set-up a DSMES program at a safety net clinic in Metro ATL.
Co-founded the Diabetes Community Action Coalition (DCAC) with Fulton County Board of Health in 2011.
In 2017, expanded the service area of DCAC to include Metro Atlanta and developed the community outreach program, DiabetesHelpATL.
The purpose of my volunteer work is to reduce health disparities and to promote health equity by addressing access and functional needs of individuals, families, and communities.
By nature, I wear the hat of a librarian.
I welcome the opportunity to search for resources or multicultural diabetes education materials to support health educators.
