We're excited to announce the launch of the newly redesigned MY AADE NETWORK, coming to you on 3/31/16. Last week we held a preview webinar for volunteer leaders from CBs, LNGs, and COIs, which you can view below. Feel free to share this post with any other leaders or admins who weren't able to attend.
Following our preview webinar, volunteer leaders had a number of questions about the site and new functionality. Read the transcript below:
Q: I am a CB chair-elect and have been overwhelmed with all the emails generated by AADE and CB leaders. Is there a way to publish this information in the admin section (and not send to individual's emails)? Would this information be cataloged as to the specific topic (i.e., annual conference planning) so that I don’t have to do on my own? Also, how can I reduce the 5-15 emails I seem to receive daily?
The best way to control the volume of emails coming from groups you’d like to stay connected to is to change your subscription settings. This can be done by scrolling to the top of any page and going to MY OPTIONS>>MY SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Next, select the edit icon next to the forum you want to change your settings for. You can change from immediate emails upon post creation, to either summary digests or full digests that will give you once a day emails for the group.

Q: What are some ways to attract members to the COI Blogs?
Three of the best tips for attracting readers to any MY AADE NETWORK blog are:
- Maintain an editorial calendar: Not as intimidating as it sounds! This doesn’t mean posting every other day (although that would be a great goal), but getting a rolling schedule setup where either one (or multiple) bloggers from the CB or COI do a post a week keeps the blog content fresh and readers coming back.
- Notify the group of new posts: Not everyone is subscribed to the blog through their favorites or an RSS feed, so when you’ve made a new blog post, make it a habit to view the new posting, copy the URL, then go to your group’s Announcement Forum and notify everyone with something along the lines of:
