Despite the best efforts of AADE and numerous other organizations, HR1192, The National Clinical Cares Commission Act was not passed by 114th Congress.
It appears that, unfortunately and as is often the case with legislation, a series of circumstances conspired against last-minute passage of a number of important pieces of legislation. HR1192 was one of those bills.
However, important progress was made with this legislation: the bill was amended to address a number of concerns and the bill passed one chamber of Congress - The House of Representatives. These are very important benchmarks in the lifespan of a bill.
AADE will continue to work with our partner organizations to introduce the legislation early in the next Congress and to move this bill as expeditiously as possible in the next Congress.
I can't stress enough how important your participation was in moving the bill forward and how important your continued participation will be in the next Congress.
